Why

I am an artist, designer, college professor and a lifelong Corvair owner based in Allentown, PA. I’ve had well over 20 Corvairs and drive one nearly every day.

While on an artist residency in Roswell, NM I started making slip cast porcelain dishes based on Corvair PF4 filters, hubcaps, and steering wheel housings. Initially this was just for fun, but I decided to try to sell them at the Denver Corsa Convention. Sales were a modest success and led to the range of products I now offer. Some items help show your love of this unique and important car, while others aim to solve practical challenges in using a Corvair in the 21st century.

My other non-Corvair studio work can be seen at wesheiss.com and my public art collaboration with Marek Walczak is at civic.space.
