Designed to replace the ashtray in an early model Corvair, this adapter and clamp is compatible with a wide range of 1” ball universal mounts. Combined with your own 1” ball compatible holder (purchased separately) you can mount any brand of phone, camera, light or other accessories.
To install you simply rotate open the ashtray door, pull out the ashtray, and insert the adapter. Power cables can be routed down through the hole in the adapter and connect to either a lighter adapter, or the Corvair Labs 5V power adapter.
Made of high temperature PETG to survive cold winters and hot summers, stainless and plated hardware and a pushrod tube sized viton o-ring to provide grip on the 1” ball. Fun right?
Can easily be removed in seconds to return your car to a stock appearance before the concours judges show up.
