Designed to replace the ashtray in a late model Corvair, this adapter and clamp is compatible with a wide range of 1” ball universal mounts. Combined with your own 1” ball compatible holder (purchased separately) you can mount any brand of phone, camera, light or other accessories.
To install you simply open the ashtray, depress the retainer tab and pull it out of the dash. Next just rotate in the adapter and tighten a thumbscrew. Power cables can be routed a hole in the adapter and connect to either a lighter adapter, or the Corvair Labs 5V power adapter.
Made of high temperature PETG to survive cold winters and hot summers, stainless and plated hardware and a pushrod tube sized viton o-ring to provide grip on the 1” ball. Fun right?
Can easily be removed in seconds to return your car to a stock appearance before the concours judges show up.
